This music-Word ministry began with the
Lord’s word to me: 12-25-95:
“A great windfall is coming to you that will allow you to actively pursue that which is in your heart, and I will fan the flame of righteous desire to move you into this new place.
By My will, I am placing you in a place of great blessing, prosperity and abundance; just be ready to assume righteous stewardship over the inheritance I’m releasing to you.”
By His Spirit and because of His faithfulness, I began to write songs in 1996, and in 2006 established this ministry with the help of a team He raised up at the local Methodist Church.
In 2011 I released 6 instrumental CD’s on a new website and today I am adding 8 musicals and 9 solo booklets of songs for singers and musicians.

It has been a remarkable journey with the Lord! For years I spent hours in His Word, and, as I did, words would pop out of the pages, I would hear the beginning of a song, rush to my acoustic piano in the music room and record what I heard on a cassette recorder…and, as I played, I would hear more and more until it seemed to be completed, all this including the words which started the process.
The point being is that it began with the Word of God, being in His presence and flowed from that…
From the time I was a teen I was playing the piano at the same Methodist Church, taking piano lessons at Stetson University where the emphasis was largely classical, listening to my older brothers’-Cliff and Julian-jazz and contemporary music records… so when I began to write, there would be flavors of classical, jazz, contemporary themes. Later the Jewish flavor would be added as I have loved Israel always, and, years ago, my husband’s organs were transplanted into Jewish people when he died on our tour there.
In addition, my mother provided dancing lessons, and so you will hear and feel the dance in many songs!
All because of His promise to me and a mother who wanted her only daughter to experience all the she could afford: she was faithful and He was faithful and true always. He still is.

“Where’s the Power?” musical is about God the Holy Spirit and explores all His many facets in helping us get to know the Father, Son and our place in His kingdom, our purpose in being created, confirming the Word of God, the Bible, teaching and helping us to abide in Him daily. You are introduced to the concept of the church, the Body of Christ.
The musical itself is connected to a 6-week Bible study around the books of John, I Corinthians and Ephesians. As the participants study the Word, each week those gifted in the arts-singing, acting, painting, creating sets, lighting, sound and other issues. As the Lord shared more and more songs, I began to wonder just what to do with them; what was their purpose? As I prayed, I began to hear themes and the Word studies confirmed those thoughts, so I looked for songs that would connect with those themes, and the first stage musical began to emerge.
I had never written anything like that, bit I knew the Word of God, so, using the Message Bible as my dialogue, I began to write Bible studies and linked them to the songs that became skits.
As I would sit at my computer with and outline of sorts in front of me, images and words would come to me and it was like a movie that I typed while I was watching it! The skits began to come together into whole stories and the first musical, “Hope Depot,” was created!

As you found out in your Hope Depot experience, He knows the gifts and talents He has put within you, and He gives you the time, space, helpers and the opportunities to develop those gifts and talents for Him and His ministry to the church and to all people generally.
